RARLAB 的 RAR 是一个多合一的、原创的、免费的、简单易用且快速的压缩、解压缩程序，更是一个基本款的文件管理器。
RAR 能建立 RAR 及 ZIP 压缩档，解压缩 RAR, ZIP, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, 7z, ISO, ARJ 压缩档。其他支持的功能还有修复毁损的 ZIP 及 RAR 文件、基准测试与 RARLAB 出版的 WinRAR 基准测试兼容、分割档、加密、结实压缩、利用更多 CPU 内核来压缩数据等等。
除了标准的 ZIP 文件，unzip 功能更支持 ZIP 及 ZIPX 格式，附加 BZIP2, LZMA 及 PPMd 压缩技术者。Unrar 指令能处理所有 RAR 版本的压缩档，包含最新的 RAR5。另外 UDF 及 ISO9660 ISO 文件格式都能解压缩。

基本上电脑上面有的功能，安卓版本都有了，并且只有本软件能够创建RAR压缩包

1. RAR设置中的“名称编码”选项重命名为“非Unicode名称编码”。所选编码显示在选项名称下方。 UTF-8 被添加到编码列表的顶部，这在处理具有 UTF-8 文件名但在文件头中没有 UTF-8 标志的格式错误的 ZIP 存档时非常有用。
2. 屏幕底部导航栏的颜色现在一直是黑色的。在某些设备上，它在 Android 12 灯光显示模式下可能是白色的，与其他 RAR 颜色不匹配。

      zipx是winzip自带的混合了多种压缩算法的一种压缩格式. 除了winzip自己, 没有哪个可以完美支持.
